Terms and Conditions

Last updated July 27, 2026
wheredidtheybridge.com aggregates public blockchain data so you can see where a wallet bridged. These Terms explain what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and — most importantly — what our results do and do not mean. Section 4 is the one to read.

1.The agreement

These Terms and Conditions (the Terms) are a binding agreement between you and the operator of wheredidtheybridge.com (we, us, the Service). They cover everything we offer: the Bridge Explorer website, the Bridge REST API, Decode Changer, and our Discord and Telegram bots.

By using any part of the Service — including browsing a wallet page without an account — you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why, and forms part of these Terms.

2.Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. If you are using the Service for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and you in these Terms means that organisation.

You may not use the Service if you are subject to sanctions, or located in a country subject to comprehensive sanctions, under the laws that apply to us. You are responsible for confirming that your use of the Service is lawful where you are.

3.What the Service does — and what it is not

The Service reads publicly available blockchain data and third-party APIs, and presents it in one place. Specifically:

  • Bridge Explorer — aggregates cross-chain bridge activity for a wallet address into a single chronological view. Free to use in a browser, with no account required.
  • Bridge API — the same lookups as a programmatic REST endpoint, authenticated with an API key and metered per plan.
  • Decode Changer — attempts to identify the other half of a swap made through an instant exchange service, by timing analysis. Metered per plan.
  • Discord and Telegram bots — the same lookups from a chat client, linked to your account.
We are not a bridge, an exchange, or a wallet
We never take custody of funds, never execute or route a transaction, and will never ask for your private key or seed phrase. Nobody legitimately acting for us will ever ask for one either. The Service is read-only: it looks at chains, it does not move anything on them.

4.Accuracy, and the limits of what results mean

This is the most important clause in these Terms. Please read it rather than skim it.

The Service reports inferences drawn from public data, not verified facts. Results may be incomplete, delayed, out of date, or simply wrong. Bridge results depend on third-party sources that can be unavailable, rate-limited, or inconsistent, and a lookup that returns nothing is not evidence that nothing happened.

Decode Changer in particular. Decode works by timing analysis: a changer breaks the on-chain link between the two halves of a swap, so we pair them by matching USD value within a narrow time window instead.

  • Results are candidates, not proof. There is no on-chain link between the two legs — that is what the changer removes. Matches are ranked by how closely their value and timing line up, so treat the ranking as a ranking.
  • Coincidental matches happen. A busy service produces transactions of near-identical value seconds apart, and round $10 or $25 stablecoin amounts are the worst case. A coincidental match has been seen ranking above the true one. Small swaps are hardest; a $1,000 swap matches far more cleanly than a $10 one.
  • The other leg may be on a chain we do not search. Decode only searches the networks it covers. If a swap settled on a chain outside that list, the true match cannot appear — but the result will not be empty: a coincidental transaction on a covered chain can take the top slot instead. A confident-looking match is not proof that the chain the funds actually went to was searched at all.
Do not treat output as proof
Nothing the Service produces is financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, or professional investigative advice, and none of it is evidence of wrongdoing by any person. You must not rely on it as the sole basis for any decision with financial or legal consequences for you or anyone else — including trading, transacting, accusing, reporting, or taking action against a person or entity. Verify independently before you act.

5.Your account

You can sign in with an email magic link or by signing a message with a wallet, and you can link a Discord or Telegram identity to the same account. Each of those is a way to reach one account, not a separate account.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, and for keeping control of whatever you sign in with — your inbox, your wallet, your linked chat accounts. Tell us at support@wheredidtheybridge.com promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

One account per person. Creating additional accounts, or linking and re-linking identities, to obtain more free quota than a plan allows is a breach of these Terms. We log identity links for exactly this reason and may suspend accounts and identities involved.

Information you give us must be accurate. We may refuse, suspend, or remove an account at our discretion where these Terms have been breached.

6.API keys

An API key authenticates as you and spends your quota. Treat it as a secret: keep it on a server you control, never embed it in a browser, mobile app, or public repository, and do not share, sublicense, or resell it.

All usage on a key is your responsibility, including usage after a key leaks. Revoke a compromised key from your account page immediately. We may revoke a key ourselves if we believe it has been compromised or is being used in breach of these Terms.

7.Plans, quotas and fair use

Plans and their allowances are described on the Pricing page. There are two separate quotas and they never draw from the same pool:

  • Decode Changer searches. A search counts against your quota whether or not it finds a match — the work is done either way. Where a search fails because of an error on our side, we do not count it.
  • Bridge API calls. Metered only for programmatic requests to the REST API. Using Bridge Explorer in a browser is unlimited and free once you are signed in, on every plan including Free. Signed-out visitors get a daily allowance of lookups, after which we ask you to sign in.

Monthly allowances reset at the start of each billing period and unused allowance does not carry over. Purchased decode credits are different: they do not expire, and they are only spent once the month's allowance is used up.

“Unlimited and free” means we do not meter it against a quota, not that it is without limit. Browser lookups are rate limited per visitor, and we may throttle, cache, delay, or block traffic that is automated, abusive, or disproportionate — including attempts to use the free Explorer as an unmetered substitute for the API. We may change plans, prices and allowances, including the signed-out daily allowance; changes apply from your next billing period or purchase, never retroactively to something you have already paid for.

8.Payments in cryptocurrency

We accept cryptocurrency only. We do not accept cards and do not store payment card details. Everything is prepaid — there are no subscriptions, no stored payment method, and nothing auto-renews. When a prepaid period or credit balance runs out, it simply stops.

You can buy two things: non-expiring decode credits, and prepaid months of a plan tier.

Prices are set in US dollars. When you start an order we quote a fixed amount in the token you are paying with, locked at that moment, valid until the order expires. Because token prices move, that quote is only good for the life of the order. You must send the quoted amount, on the quoted network, in the quoted token, to the address shown, from the address you declared when creating the order, before the order expires.

Crypto payments are irreversible
We cannot reverse, recall, or recover a transaction. If you send the wrong amount, use the wrong network or token, pay to an address not shown on your order, pay after it has expired, or pay from an address other than the one you declared, your order may not be credited and the funds may be permanently lost. Check the order details before you send. If something goes wrong, contact support@wheredidtheybridge.com — we will help where we technically can, but we cannot promise recovery.

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, including for unused credits, unused prepaid time, a change of mind, dissatisfaction with results, or an account suspended for breach of these Terms. Where consumer protection law gives you rights that cannot be waived by contract, this clause does not remove them.

Prices exclude any taxes. You are responsible for any tax arising from your purchase or your use of cryptocurrency, and for any network fees your transaction incurs.

9.Credits, codes and grants

Decode credits and plan grants have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred or sold between accounts. Redemption codes are single-use per account unless we say otherwise, and may carry an expiry.

We may withdraw credits, codes or grants that were obtained through fraud, abuse, a breach of these Terms, or an error on our side — including a pricing or crediting mistake.

10.Acceptable use

Blockchain data is public, but that does not make every use of it lawful or acceptable. The Service exists for research, compliance, security work, and understanding on-chain activity. You must not use it to harm people.

You must not:

  • Break any law that applies to you, or use the Service to help anyone else break one.
  • Harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, extort, or dox any person, or publish information about an identifiable person in order to expose them to harm.
  • Use results to target individuals — including for vigilante action, "fund recovery" services, or pressuring someone over a transaction.
  • Present results as proof of wrongdoing, or as the basis for an adverse decision about a person, such as employment, credit, or enforcement.
  • Attempt to deanonymise or re-identify individuals where doing so is unlawful where you are.
  • Share, resell, or sublicense your account or API key, or resell the Service or bulk output as your own data product without our written permission.
  • Scrape the Service, evade rate limits or quotas, rotate IP addresses or accounts to obtain more free usage, or automate the browser interface to avoid the API.
  • Probe, scan, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it or to another user’s account.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where that restriction is unenforceable by law.
  • Upload or transmit malware, or use the Service to distribute spam.

We may investigate suspected breaches, and may suspend access while we do. Where we are legally required to, we will cooperate with law enforcement.

11.Third-party data and platforms

The Service is built on data from bridge protocols, block explorers, RPC providers, and blockchain analytics providers that we do not control. Their availability, accuracy, coverage, and terms are theirs, not ours. A source going down, changing, rate-limiting us, or returning bad data can degrade or interrupt the Service, and we are not liable for that.

Our Discord and Telegram bots run on those platforms and are subject to their terms as well as ours. What you send to a bot passes through that platform, and in a shared server or group your command and its results may be visible to others there.

Links to third-party sites, such as block explorers, are provided for convenience. We do not endorse them and are not responsible for them.

12.Availability and changes

We offer no uptime guarantee and no service level agreement. The Service may be unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, third-party failures, or reasons outside our control.

We are actively developing the Service. We may add, change, restrict, or remove features, supported networks, supported bridges, and supported exchange services at any time. Network and bridge coverage in particular can change without notice — a chain we read today may become unreadable if the source we depend on changes.

13.Intellectual property

The Service — its software, design, interfaces, documentation, and the way we organise and present data — belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property law. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service in accordance with them, and nothing more.

Underlying blockchain data is public and we claim no ownership of it. You may use results you obtain for your own internal, research, or reporting purposes, subject to Acceptable use above.

Our name and logo are ours. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely and without obligation to you.

14.Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account yourself from your account page; it takes effect immediately and cannot be reversed. Deleting forfeits any unused credits and any remaining prepaid time, and no refund is due — see Payments. If deletion is refused because your account is suspended or a payment is still in flight, the page will say so; email support@wheredidtheybridge.com and we will sort it out.

We may suspend or terminate your access — with notice where practical, immediately where not — if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse, or if we are required to by law. Where we terminate for breach, unused credits and prepaid time are forfeited and no refund is due.

On termination your licence to use the Service ends. Clauses that by their nature should survive — accuracy and reliance, acceptable use, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — survive.

15.Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We specifically disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, complete, or accurate.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. Where that applies to you, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted.

16.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost opportunity, loss of goodwill, or any loss of cryptocurrency or its value — whether or not we were told such damages were possible.

Without limiting the above, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on results, from a result that was incomplete, delayed, or wrong, from third-party data sources, from errors you make when sending a crypto payment, or from unavailability of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars (US$100).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

17.Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party and arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your use or publication of results — including any claim by a person about whom you obtained or published information through the Service.

18.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is material we will make reasonable efforts to flag it in the product or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not, stop using the Service.

19.Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the laws of the province in which the operator of the Service is resident, without regard to conflict of laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that province, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Talk to us first. Before starting formal proceedings, please email support@wheredidtheybridge.com with a description of the problem and what you would like done about it. We will try to resolve it within 30 days. Most issues are faster to fix this way.

If you are a consumer, this clause does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory laws of the country where you live.

20.General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the Service and replace any earlier understanding. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the provision is applied as closely as possible to its intent.

Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor of the Service. We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including network outages, chain reorganisations, third-party API failures, and acts of government.

Notices to you may be sent to the email on your account or shown in the product. Notices to us go to support@wheredidtheybridge.com. Headings are for convenience only.
